The 18th "Chinese Bridge" Language Proficiency Competition Kenya Division Successfully Held

The Kenya division for the 18th “Chinese Bridge” Language Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students was successfully held at the Taifa Hall of Nairobi University on May 24th. Altogether 16 contestants from Confucius Institutes of Nairobi University, Kenyatta University, Egerton University, and Moi University attended the competition. About 300 audience including university students and teachers, family members of contestants were present.

After nearly four hours of fierce competition, Chege Evanson Muigai, student from the Confucius Institute of Nairobi University, won the first prize, and will represent Kenya in the finals.

Counsellor Wang Xuezheng from the Chinese embassy congratulated on the success of the competition. He spoke highly of the contestants for their performance, hoping the Kenyan young students will work as envoys to contribute more to China-Kenya friendship.
