In his speech, Amb. Liu warmly congratulated on the official opening of CCTV Africa News Production Centre, saying that this is the first ever overseas News Production Centre of CCTV. This very event marks a milestone not only in CCTV’s undertakings to become a first-class international media, but also in the history of China-Africa media cooperation. Amb. Liu wished that CCTV Africa News Production Centre could manage to tell “three stories”: first, tell China a good “story of Africa”; second, tell Africa a good “story of China”; third, tell the world a good “story of China-Africa friendship”. China-Africa media cooperation has broad prospects and great potential. It is the best time for CCTV to establish its Africa News Production Centre. Both China and Africa should make joint efforts to lift media exchanges and cooperation to new heights.

Vice President Musyoka delivers a speech
In his remarks, Vice President Musyoka said that the establishment of CCTV Africa News Production Centre marks an important entry in the history of the cordial and fast-growing partnership between China and Africa, which will greatly promote China-Africa cooperation in economy and trade, culture, tourism etc, and enhance the understanding and friendship between both peoples. Oftentimes, Africa is shown as the continent of endless calamities and unceasing tragedies by many international medias. He wished that CCTV Africa News Production Centre could, through the power of television, bring a true Africa full of hopes and vitality to the sight of the world people. Kenya has developed medias and good communication infrastructures, which could serve as strong back-ups for CCTV Africa News Production Centre’s growth and development.
