On April 30th 2008, the China Communication Construction Company donated 1.22 million Ksh to the Nairobi Mararui Primary School for the construction of two classrooms through Mandela Ya Wanawaki Organization (MYWO).

On May 7th, Ms Bernadette Musundi, Executive Director of MYWO wrote a letter of appreciation to H.E. Zhang Ming, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya.
