China welcomes the joint participation of governments, international organizations and all stakeholders in this Initiative, so that countries around the world can strengthen communication, build up mutual trust, enhance coordination, deepen cooperation, and build a digital community with shared destiny. China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Kenya to share good practices and seize opportunities of the digital economy. We encourage businesses of the two countries to develop cooperation in ICT infrastructure, internet and digital economy to bridge our digital divide and build an information society.

On his part, CS Mucheru emphasized that ICT is critical for Kenya's future. Huawei has helped Kenya to build a well-functioning communication network, and made important contribution to Kenya's development of digital economy. Youth are the future of a country. He expressed gratitude to Huawei for organizing this training program to enable the Kenyan youth to have the opportunity to learn advanced technologies such as 5G, AI and cloud computing, and learn more about China. All this helps to lay a good foundation for Kenya's future cooperation with China. China has made impressive achievements in digital governance and digital economy, and Kenya is committed to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China.
