The prevention and control of the outbreak is currently the most important task of the Chinese government and people. China is taking all-around effective measures to combat the virus. 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) have activated Level I public health emergency response. Dozens of cities conducted the strictest transport restrictions. Other measures including cancellations of gatherings, temporary closures of public venues, infected or suspected infected personnel tracking and management, temperature detection are continuously implemented. All works are advancing scientifically and orderly. Relevant information is open and transparent.

So far, a total of 6,097 medical personnel from other provinces and regions have been sent to Hubei province. China Railway Corporation has set up big data base to trace passengers on same trains with pneumonia patients. The Chinese government also takes steps to reduce the flow of people to overseas.

China has full confidence and capacity to win the battle against the novel coronavirus. The high efficiency and massive scale of China's response are rarely seen in the world. With the advantages of China's system, scientific approaches and tailor-made policies, China will be able to control this epidemic.

China will fulfill its international obligations, promptly address the legitimate concerns of foreign citizens in China, and ensure their safety in a responsible manner.
