Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Wu Peng Met with Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Health

Amb. Wu Peng paid a courtesy call on Cabinet Secretary for Health Sicily Kariuki on June 27th, and exchanged views on China-Kenya friendly relations and health cooperation. Chief of the political section of Chinese embassy Chen Yongchao and Kenyan Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Health Susan Mochache were present at the meeting.

Amb. Wu said that the recent years have witnessed steady and fast growth of China-Kenya relations, with medical cooperation going on smoothly and presenting broad prospects. On the occasion of the second FOCAC Beijing Summit, China is willing to work together with Kenya to enhance communication and coordination to implement the consensus reached by top leaders of the two countries and outcomes of the Beijing Summit, and promote greater development of health care in Kenya.


On her part, CS Kariuki congratulated Amb. Wu on his assumption of office. She reaffirmed that Kenya attaches great importance to Kenya-China relations and is grateful to China for its long-term support to improve the health of the Kenyan people. Kenya is willing to join hands with China to deepen the bilateral exchanges on health and cooperation, thus delivering more benefits to the two peoples.
