H.E. Liu Guangyuan,Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, met with the visiting Singaporean Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry, and for Minstry of National Development Hon. Lee Yi Shyan at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nairobi on Monday, November 15, 2011.

Ambassador Liu briefed Hon. Lee on the investment environment of Kenya, China-Kenya economic and trade relations, and the investments and running of Chinese companies in Kenya. He hoped that the entrepreneurs from China and Singapore will conduct cooperation in Kenya to achieve a win-win result.
Hon. Lee said that Singapore and Kenya are discussing to strengthen economic ties. Singapore is still at the starting stage in the cooperation with Kenya, and wishes to borrow a leaf from China and to explore the possibility of undertaking joint projects between Singaporean and Chinese companies.
Mr. Yan Xiusheng, Mr. Cao Xiaolin, and Mr. Han Chunlin, the Counsellors from the Chinese Embassy, and Mr. Teo Siong Seng, President of Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry were present at the meeting.
