On November 9, 2011, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Liu Guangyuan attended the launching ceremony of “Raila Odinga Center”, at the invitation of Kenyan Prime Minister Rt. Raila Odinga. The center was founded by Prime Minister Odinga to improve the education conditions in poverty-stricken areas in Kenya.

Prime Minister Odinga expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government for providing scholarship to Kenyan students every year for the betterment of education in Kenya.
