1. Briefing on COVID-19 cases in China

According to China's National Health Commission and the State Council inter-agency task force, the latest development of COVID-19 cases in China's mainland is as follows:

(1) Excluding Hubei province, March 13 saw ZERO fatality and 16 newly imported confirmed cases. ZERO local transmitted case has been reported for 3 consecutive days.

(2) Hubei province reported 4 newly confirmed cases, all in Wuhan. Wuhan has kept a one-digital number of newly confirmed cases for 4 days in a row. Other cities in Hubei Province reported ZERO newly confirmed cases for 10 days in a row.

(3) As of 24:00 on March 14 (Beijing Time), 80,844 confirmed cases have been reported, including 66,911 cured cases and 3,199 fatalities.

 

2. The National Health Commission of China and the WHO co-held a briefing on China's experience on COVID-19 response on March 12. A Knowledge Center for China's Experiences in response to COVID-19 is established. China's creative use of the classic 3 principles and 8 approaches of infectious disease prevention and control is introduced in the center/website.
